Fine Dining

Le Beaujolais

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more exquisite meal in western Canada. Le Beaujolais is without question the cornerstone of fine dining in the Rockies and one of the longest standing Banff restaurants. Exceptional cuisine, professional service and tremendous value – one of our personal favourites.
This French restaurant boasts a great atmosphere, beautiful views and abundant natural light. Albert Moser, owner/chef always seems to be on location overseeing his impeccable establishment and if you’re lucky he may even personally flambé up some delectable crêpes at your table.

Three Ravens

In the summer months the view from this contemporary Banff fine dining restaurant and wine bar is breathtaking. Don’t feel like you have to be show bound to eat here, The Three Ravens offers a top notch dining experience enveloped in a unique atmospheric vibe of world class art and culture. Perched on the top story of the Sally Borden Building at the Banff Centre the space is open, minimal and clean lined with floor to ceiling glass windows. The Pomegranate Glazed Free Range Duck Breast is locally sourced and is served with a healthy combination of Amaranth, Quinoa and Wild Rice Risotto and adorned with Sun-Dried Cranberries, Winter Vegetable Macédoine Rye and Walnut Sauce ($35) – a very special and exceptional menu.

Eden

Executive Chef, Ralf Wollmann and Pastry Chef, Guy Vaugeois aim for and very often achieve culinary perfection using local ingredients spun into French infused cuisine. Chad Greaves, Maitre d’Hotel and Sommelier is friendly and attentive and with a 17,000 bottle wine cellar, his expertise is always welcoming. One of our most memorable meals was in their private dinning room towards the back of the restaurant, there were 12 in our party that resulted in a very special evening, we highly recommend it for a large group. For all food aficionados, Eden offers an extraordinary journey in fine dining with some of the best views in the Bow Valley.
Eden is the only AAA/CAA Five-Diamond restaurant in western Canada.

Sleeping Buffalo Dining Room – Buffalo Mountain Lodge

What could be more enticing than a sophisticated farm-to-table restaurant, where the meat you eat has been raised on the restaurant’s own farms (hormone and antibiotic-free). The menu is small small but power-packed with dishes such as Lodge Made Gnocchi with Duck Confit, Woodland Mushrooms, Sundried Cherries, Kale, Brown Butter & Padano ($16), Grilled CRMR Ranch Buffalo Striploin with Semolina Gnocchi and Port Sundried Fig Butter ($37).
We love the roaring fireplace and buffalo head in the lounge just outside the dining room (this is a great place for pre-dinner drinks) .
Extremely comfortable high back chairs, round and square tables, hand-hewn timber decor. This place is class, rocky mountain style.

Storm Mountain Lodge

This is without doubt the most romantic restaurant in and around Banff, and we don’t mean in a steamy, Valentine way either, this place is all class where talk of fine wines and glacier travel go hand in hand. A pre-dinner cocktail aside the huge stone fireplace is a great place to start and a well appointed log cabin is a great way to finish, if you choose to spend the night. The old 1922 log building is dimly lit with ample natural light streaming through the wrap around windows. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy without being dingy and drab, the views are outstanding and so is the cuisine (the fresh mountain water has something to do with it). Just a short 20min drive west of Banff on Hwy 93, south of the Trans Canada.
